Dear HR Professional!
Welcome to the 3rd Balkan HR Summit (14-17 May 2012). This year marks the 100th year of Albanian independence and as such, in collaboration with Kosovo HR Institute, we are hosting one event in two cities - namely Tirana and Prishtina.
As we enter the year where Albanians mark their 100th year of independence, the realities of where we are today do not match the dreams of the people. It is therefore an important milestone to reflect and attempt to answer some important questions:
· What are the key achievements in the past 100 years of independence?
· The achievement or lack of achievement should be attributed to whom?
· What is the future going to be like?
· What are the competencies we need to have as a nation to be competitive in the new economy?
· What kind of leaders do we need to get us there?
While answering these questions will not be an easy task, the event will create a platform for speakers and participants to share their views on the above issues.
The theme this year is “Leadership: Answers to todays and future issues”. We have been able to put together a great agenda with speakers from different backgrounds and aim to give you a local and outside perspective of Leadership issues.
This event will give you an opportunity to;
• Learn the role leadership can play in the development of a nation, not just in politics but in all areas of nation building.
• List the approaches and best practices in leadership development and management.
• Network and benchmark with HR Practitioners, leaders and partners from Albania, Kosovo and the Balkan region.
• Apply the ideas through our multiple streams of workshops.
Delegates from Albania and Kosovo will be able to get a membership in the Albanian HR Society and Kosovo HR Institute respectively as well as learn from our international speakers and network with foreign delegates.We look forward to seeing you at our 3rd Balkan HR Summit 2012!
